Parma

Small Town Farming Community

The story of Parma began in the 1880s when Albert Fouch moved his store and post office from its original location near Old Fort Boise to the location of Parma today. He moved to be near a railroad switch point, part of the Oregon Short Line with Union Pacific.  Parma is known for its agricultural business; it produces onions, potatoes, corn, beets, apples, grapes and honey.
